​An attractive, fast-growing deciduous tree with a smooth green caudiciform trunk that can reach 60 ft in height. Coveted for it's unique pink brush-like flowers in late winter, the leaves are an attraction as well.

GEOGRAPHIC REGION

Southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El salvador and Nicaragua

NATIVE HABITAT

Grows in dry and rocky habitats or poor soils and is shade intolerant. From sea level to 6000 ft.
